Freitag, 09.10.2020 – German Arts Evening
Creative presence in turbulent times – an exploration of artistic responses to global challenges.
For the first time, Brisbane German Week featured an evening that was dedicated to the arts. It was with great pleasure that the inaugural German Arts Evening has showcased authors and artists who have not just shared the content of their work, but also reflected on the individual context leading to their pieces and publications. Find a summary of their presentation below.
This event has brought together five creatives from different artistic disciplines whose work has been informed by their cross-cultural perspectives gained from experiences in Australia, Germany and beyond. More about the artists and how they became influencers is revealed below.
We were treated to unique musical performances and poetry recital, followed by an online presentation of artworks and informative panel discussion with these accomplished artists whose work reminds us of the power of beauty, connection and quiet observation in times of global unrest.
